Education and Experience

While pursuing her Master of Social Work degree with an emphasis on Clinical Mental Health at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, she completed her final internship at a day treatment center in rural MN.

Michelle got her professional start in the United States Air Force, serving on Active Duty. During that time, she gained significant experience working with military members. She quickly began to specialize in trauma-focused treatment which continues to be a passion in the civilian world.
Michelle Ault is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (NM #C-09944) and the founder of Crosswind Associates.
Michelle earned her Bachelor of Social Work degree at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. During that time, she worked with the American Red Cross-Twin Cities Area Chapter. She was quickly exposed to crisis management and worked extensively with the local refugee population. Her work with refugees brought her to Washington D.C. on multiple occasions to work at the National Headquarters of the American Red Cross.

Following graduation, she lived with a host family in Botswana. This experience provided the opportunity to be comfortable in uncomfortable situations as well as growing her world view.
